with its functionality but also with its stunning design. - It is the ideal knife for the Asian cuisine.

Europeans have always been impressed by the ease and simplicity of Asian aesthetics that is reflected in the minimalist Far Eastern design applied to the new knife by ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS. Touching and holding this knife is both a sensual experience and an emotional decision for an aesthetically pleasing product. This knife proves that good looks are not always deceptive. So simple, timeless and beautiful, so versatile and useful - just bare essentials!
TWIN Origami - nomen est omen. The name given to the Japanese art of paper folding has not been chosen by chance. Origami is synonymous for the production method used for this knife which is made from one single piece of stainless steel. A new procedure of folding the steel has been specifically developed by ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS.

Origami raises associations. Most of all with the high demands in the Far East applied to good knives which correspond nicely with ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS own strict quality requirements: perfect cutting properties provided by sharp blades. Associations also with its intended use Origami is at its best in the Asian cuisine for which it was designed and where it lives up to the highest demands.

The knife is a lightweight with only 90 grams but it offers a lot. Compared with most "specialist" knives it is a perfect all-rounder and ideal for the Far Eastern style of cooking: to prepare vegetables, herbs, fish, meat and poultry into bite size morsels.

TWIN Origami's domain is the kitchen where it was "born and bred". It was a member of ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS' staff who originally came up with the idea of a versatile knife that should be fit for handling many different cutting tasks around the kitchen. It was an instant success. The short, curved blade is ideally suited for the multi-functional use in the Asian kitchen - as a "mincing" knife for cutting herbs or as a paring knife for cleaning and cutting salads and vegetable. As if this is not enough, it also cuts meat nicely into size.

The unusual shape of the handle makes working with TWIN Origami less tiring. It has been designed to automatically move the hand into a stress free position. No matter which foodstuffs - the hand will stay where it is supposed to stay. The difference to ordinary knives is obvious: the blade "grows" as an extension of the arm and replaces the index finger which is placed on top.
The result is precise cutting at its best. Even the most sensitive of cutting jobs can be done with minimal effort.

TWIN Origami is not only eye-catching but fun to work with.
