The history of the symbol which represents ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS AG dates back to June 1731 - under the Gemini sign. It was then that Johann Peter Henckels, a knife-maker based in Solingen, registered the "Twin"- symbol - now recognized throughout the world - as his trademark with the Cutlers´ Guild of Solingen. It is thus one of the oldest trademarks in the world.
Today products by ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS are recognized the world over as the symbol for the highest possible quality and function.
This is the facsimile of the entry into the Cutler's Guild of Solingen in 1731.
